Welcome to April and the Hopvine News

Winter was mild but wet and in a few short weeks the picnic tables go back outside the front door of the "vine. That is the first sign that all the nice warm weather is in front of us. The Hopvines are popping out of the ground and the brewers are trying their hand at brewing pilsners and other warm weather beers. We have two great beer events this months including the guys from Salish Seas in Edmonds on the Thursday the 16th at 7pm. They are brewing some awesome IPA's. And on Thursday the 23rd Hop Valley Brewing in Eugene will be in the house at 7pm. They have delivered us some amazing hop assertive beers. It will be fun to have an assortment of their beers for the event. This month includes not only jazz with the Swells on the 12th but also acoustic originals from Keelan Donavan from Nashville on the 27th. Mark your calendar for great music at the Hopvine. Don't forget we have Open Mic every Wednesday. One of the longest running open mics in the city. We have had some amazing musicians introducing their music to us over the years.  Finally our own Badger will be introducing a Spelling Bee to everyone at the Hopvine on Tuesday the 21st at 8pm.

Don't forget to check the board for some amazing things off the smoker. Delicious flank salad is on the board now with smoked salmon coming up. Michael's soups have been quite amazing and most recently the posole was fantastic. As always we will have some amazing beers on tap here at the Hopvine. Don't forget on most Mondays we will tap a cask on the bar. The casks from our brewer friends are the freshest beer experience possible. Active wort in the keg creates that last bit of fermentation and flavor profile. Every cask is different but sometimes amazing. Hope to see you around the pub. As always thank you.  Cheers.
