The Hops have been Harvested

Fresh Hop Beer on Tap this Friday

The hops have been harvested and the fresh hop beers are in. Friday at the Hopvine we will be showcasing many of the fresh hop beers from our brewer friends. It is an exciting time for the brewers in the area. Yakima produces 70% of all the nation's hops and the brewers have been assessing the potency and oil content of the recent harvest. Most typically brewers use pelletized hops which are hop flowers that are heated and compressed into more stable and usable form. But during the harvest the brewers brew  with the recent crop of hop flowers. The Hopvine will be showcasing beers from Cloudburst, Stoup and many others. It is a time to taste the harvest that happened just a few weeks ago. It will be  a fresh and wonderful experience. The kegs will be tapped early in the afternoon and run all weekend.
