May at the Hopvine

The  sun is making an appearance after an 8 month hiatus and it sure feels good to have that warm orange orb shining through the clouds. The beginning of May also means the start of Beer Week the 14 day beer event that showcases all things beer in the city of Seattle. Of course Seattle and its residents drink plenty of beer but during this celebration we go over board around the city with over 200 events. At the Hopvine we are having some fantastic events starting with Two Beers Brewing Monday the 8th at 7pm. Our friends from the brewery will be making an appearance and we will showcase several of their fine beers. On Tuesday the 9th of May at 7pm we will be hosting a sour event with New Belgium Brewing. The Brewery from Colorado introduced the process of souring beer in wood several years ago and we will showcase five of those amazing sours including Felix love, Tartastic, French Oak Saison, Le Terrior, and La Follie. There are no better sours anywhere in the country,  or some would argue...the world. On Wednesday night May 10th we are happy to host Old Stove Brewing in the Pike Market. In the short time they have been open they have developed a reputation for hoppy and balanced beers. Be there to try the freshest and best. Don't worry Open Mic will be a Beer Week special at 8:30. On Thursday May 11th Black Raven Brewing returns for their annual Beer Week visit At 7pm. We will be tapping three of their amazing beers including their brand new pilsner. As a treat Eric Miller will be playing music at 8:30. We have a new trivia host who is introducing trivia with exciting new categories on the second and forth tuesday. Finally, the singer songwriter showcase continues every second and forth Saturday. There it is, the month of May in a nutshell. It is nice to have the sun back so stop by the Hopvine to enjoy the season of warmth.
