bare metal deployment based on 0.10 doc

Hello all 

Trying to follow the deployment steps on baremetal but need clarification  as to wether the install using Karamel still requires building the software  and if not The documentation referes to copying the installation files to the nginx software folder so wondering what those installation files would be ?

any help much appreciated .

Hi Raji,

Yes you will need to point Karamel to a download_url as instructed in
https://hopsworks.readthedocs.io/en/0.10/installation_guide/platforms/baremetal.html

For testing you can set it to http://193.10.67.171/hops Keep in mind
it's a low bandwidth server so you installation might take some time.

For production environments, you should check our setup-chef cookbook
(https://github.com/logicalclocks/setup-chef) which downloads everything
in your local nginx installation directory and then you can point
Karamel to this url. If you need further instructions on this method,
let me know.
