Scarlet" is a song by English rock band the Rolling Stones featuring guitarist Jimmy Page. The song was released through Polydor as a single from the reissue of the 1973 album Goats Head Soup on 22 July 2020.

"Scarlet" is written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, and produced by Jimmy Miller.[1] It is described as "a raw, scratchy, loose limbed and actually rather sweet ditty with a cod reggae feel and lots [...] of guitars".[2] The lyrics narrate "a girl named Scarlet who is doing [Jagger] wrong".[2] It was recorded in October 1974.[3] Jagger stated that the song originated in musician Ronnie Wood's home in Richmond, London during a studio session with Richards and guitarist Jimmy Page,[2] while Richards recalled walking in during the end of rock band Led Zeppelin's session, after which their guitarist, Page, "decided to stay".[3] It is thought to be titled after Page's daughter, Scarlet Page.[4] When asked why it went unreleased for nearly 50 years, Jagger said that the song "wasn't really a Rolling Stones record".[5]

On 14 August 2020, the band released a remix by rock band The War on Drugs, which introduced "a pulsing new groove that kicks into double-time for the chorus".[6] A second remix, featuring rock band The Killers and DJ Jacques Lu Cont was released on 28 August. It involved "a resonant, reverberating opening" and "layers of symphonic touches".[7]

The music video stars Irish actor Paul Mescal, and was filmed at Claridge's Hotel in London with social distancing.[8] It depicts Mescal in hotel rooms and empty bars,[9] leaving the titular character desolate voice messages, drinking, dancing, and eventually collapsing in the lobby.[5] The music video was directed by Chris Barrett and Luke Taylor, and released on 6 August 2020.[10]

Keep up the good work. It is of real importance for me for i happen to be reading it for my college exams. The most iportant thing is that it not only helps me in exams, but also a great inspiration for i love literature.

The book seem to reject the myth that interrelationships between whites and blacks can work given the two different cultural backgrounds. Parents also play a pivotal role in relationships. Over and above, l true enjoyed the novel

This is an interesting book.t bringsout many likeable themes though t z mainly about religion.and i hope that since it is an Alevel setbook 4 this year ,here in Zimbabwe,we r going to pass with flying colours.

I TEACH LITERATURE AT KENYAN TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGE, THE SUMMARY HAS REALLY TOUCHED ME, AM A VICTIM OF ABUSIVE MARRIAGE, AND I REALLY IDENTIFY WITH MIRREILLE. ITS LOVE THAT DROVE ME INTO IT, BUT A KNIFE OF HATE, BETRAYAL AND NEAR DEATH DROVE ME OUT. FRIENDS LOOK TO ME AS A GREAT HERROEN. MARIAMA BA IS MY GREATES INSPIRATION

I read this book in Malawi 1994 during my Malawi School Leaving Certificate and I never got over reading it. I have advised my friends and relatives to read it before they make a big decision to marry someone from a different country or culture.

Im doing my upper six in zvishavane zimbabwe .doing literature , geography and history.this book really touched me somehow of how women are treated by men its a pity.l jus love the novel because its a realist novel.

I love literature so much, especially the African one. Mariama Ba is jus a star,nt jus bcoz of her being a feminist but her work is so inspirational.i have read so long a letter and was mch intrugued.as iam writing this comment im holding the novel scarlet song that iam looking forward to enjoying the same way i did so long a letter.

Wow a nice touching story and I bet Mirielle was justified to stab her husband. Thanks to Mariama Ba for enlightening us as women.and also rest in peace! And as a student studying Scarlet Song for my a level exam this year i bet me my colleages at chaplin will pass very well.

The two are revealed as an amazing and effective team when working together at school but all that disappears at marriage and that beautifull image is marred. Simple, Ba puts at our disposal the evils of an inter-racial marriage without the basic knowledge of each respective culture which was to be the foundation of their marriage.

this was one of the literature book while pursing my studies as a teacher it is such an interesting book both emotional and inspiring. Missing the discussions we used to have in relation to the whole story

I eventually got this story and I have really enjoyed the scarlet songs wen I was doing my matric year in 2000 since that tym I became a very good novel reader for i have been inspired by Maria ma ba kip it up novel writers u really du good job says wa lazarus chinkhuzi

I want to very kindly pay a pretty special tribute to Mariama Ba. She,among all other African writers gave my heart profound inspiration. My very kind request goes out to all aspiring writers. Kindly read this book and your work of art will be outstanding if not exceptional. Everyone ought to be absolutely wary before they dare getting in marriage life. Ladies, get warned.

There are some good bars in this one, but overall the message was lost. It felt very bare bones compared to other songs, but all over the place at the same time. It felt like she could do so much more with this track.

I enjoyed the beat on this track as well as it sounded like it gave homage to the 90s hip-hop greats. In other songs on the album, the ad-libs are distracting, but here, they mesh well. I would say 4 out of 5 stars.

Honestly, there is not much else to say about this song as I feel very neutral about it, but it is one of those I would add to a playlist and listen to a lot. I would say just above 3.5 stars out of 5.

The intro and the beat of the song feel like Often never ended before it. The actual bars are good though and this song feels like the first positive spin on things in the album, considering the other material. A solid 3.5 out of 5 stars.

This is funny though, because the lyrics are talking about her trying to do her own thing despite what people want from her. Again. The San Andreas line was creative, but this is 3 out of 5 stars in total.

Come a runnin' boys

Don't you hear that noise like the thunder in the sky

How it rolls along in a good old song

From the sons of Nebraski.

Now it's coming near with a rising cheer

That will sweep all foes away,

So with all our vim

We are bound to win and we're going to win today.

Remember the film Bed of Roses from January 1996? Probably not. It was a romantic drama about a driven career woman, played by Mary Stuart Masterson, who is romanced by a shy florist, played by Christian Slater. I enjoyed the film but what stuck with me was the song that played over the closing credits.

I took way too long to learn how to drive. I got my license months after everyone else (which, if you remember from high school, felt like eons). I mastered the slow brake, the three-point turn and the lane change: after I passed my driving test, I made sure to only drive on desolate roads, lest I be met with any challenge.

For listeners like me wondering about the variety of the lyrics, a quick Google search reveals that nearly everything that occurred in the song also happened in real life. Dan did meet his old lover at the grocery store, in Peoria, Illinois, in 1975. Jill Anderson, the subject of the song, did not reveal her identity until after he died in 2007.

If you think Taylor Swift can write about unrequited love, Dan Fogelberg filled a couple of albums on the topic long before she was born

Same Auld Lang Syne was and is the All Too Well of its day .

Scarlet (スカーレット) is the theme song for the anime of Ceres: Celestial Legend. It is written by Takahashi Ken and Sawachika Taisuke, arranged by Yamamoto Harukichi, and performed by Junko Iwao, who provides the voice for Ceres. It was released as a part of an EP by the same name in 2000[1].

[2]Can you still see your dreams in the distant, starry sky?

Are they more vivid than they were when you were little?

When one forgets to put the emotions that overflow in her heart to rest, they burn the color of passion.

I used to believe without a doubt that I could reach my dreams, no matter how far off they were.

But that me from long ago now sleeps inside my heart.

Dreams are more fragile and fleeting than a glass rose,

so then why are we destined to dream?

Sometimes two dreams can turn into love,

but there are also times when they can't.

Even when they're alone, people want to share their feelings, but it can be so hard.

Words are powerless to express one's feelings, and sometimes they become a silver knife.

I used to believe without a doubt that I could reach my dreams, no matter how far off they were.

But that me from long ago now sleeps inside my heart.

They can never know just what we've done

They can never know just what we've done

They will never know all the blood we've shed

The scarlet cross we bear until the bitter end

And they, they can never know just what we've done

They will never know all the blood we shed

The scarlet cross we bear until the bitter end

And they, they can never know just what we've done

I will never let you go

They can never know just what we've done

I will never let you go

Fortunately, the YouTube video that I watched for this song included English lyrics in its subtitles. Lyrically, the song seems to be from the point of view of a speaker who seems to be separated from someone important to them and wants to be with them again. And from what I see, it also appears that the speaker may be trying to figure out who they are. From what I know of the Metallic Rouge anime, some of the lines seem to have a connection to elements in the series yet are written in such a way that they can have a more universal meaning.

In this episode, Scarlet talks about her story, takes us behind the curtains of the Nashville writing community and even gives us some songwriting tips. And at the end, I am sharing an excerpt form her podcast where she talks to Grammy winning songwriter Lori Mckenna.
