HBCA,
We are asking each of you to make tomorrow, March 11th, Hopkins Empty Bowls day at your business/organization. Encourage everyone to stop by the Hopkins Center for the Arts between 11am and 7pm and help us make the biggest positive impact we can for families and individuals in need within our communities. Even if you don’t live in Hopkins/Minnetonka, your co-workers may, your clients may, your friends may and they may need the services of ICA Foodshelf or ResourceWest. It is just a small way that we can come together as a Business and Civic Association to show our unity for a worthy cause.
The event is being held on Tuesday, March 11th from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at Hopkins Center for the Arts. When you arrive you select a bowl from the hundreds made by 4th graders in Hopkins' schools, high school art students, and members of the community. The bowl you choose serves as a reminder of all the empty bowls in front of people within our community, and around the world.
Once you've selected a bowl, we ask that you make a free will donation - any donation amount is greatly appreciated. Make a donation in an amount that fits within your budget - whether it is $5 or $500.
Local restaurants have donated soup for the day, so find your favorite and enjoy a bowl.
There is also a silent auction with many beautiful items, including some amazing pottery pieces by local professional artists.
If you can’t make it to the Center for the Arts tomorrow to find a bowl that speaks to you, we encourage you to make a donation to the event by going to https://hopkins.thatscommunityed.com/course/empty-bowls-2014/empty-bowls-2014 today...
Stop by and say “Hi”….we want to see you.
