Tick Repellent

Ann asked about a Tick Repellent: Our son took a summer internship in Rhode Island. His speciality is horticulture and he is working outside all day. Ticks, it seems, are the curse of the area! He has sprayed his clothing with a concoction they provided, but I am wondering what you suggest for his skin, or possibly even taking an oil in a tonic for internal benefit. Any suggestions, Linda?  Thanks!

I don't know about taking something internally to prevent ticks (although it might not hurt to swallow crushed garlic daily).
