I would like to get a diffuser and am wondering which one I should get?  Any thoughts?  Experience?  Thanks!

Hi Mandi,

I use this Hubmar Aromatherapy Diffuser:  http://www.amazon.com/Hubmar-Ultrasonic-Aromatherapy-Diffuser-Black/dp/B005C5SL22   I've not experienced any problems with it.  It's very easy to use and will run on a full bowl of water for a couple of hours at the least, and will shut off when there isn't enough water left in it.  Obviously, the higher the speed, the faster it will run out.  Also, you can direct where the nebulized water comes out, so if you're ill in bed, you can just move the diffuser spout and face it toward you.   You can also choose to turn on or off the lights.  It does beep when it shuts off or if you change the speed.  I've been using this for about 9 months, no complaints from me!

Hope this helps!

When considering the purchase of a diffuser, consider why you want it. There are nebulizing, micro-mist diffusers and spa-type diffusers that have water and sometimes colored lights with music.

I feel the nebulizing diffusers (no water) are the most desirable for therapeutic, medicinal and germ killing effects. They will do the best job of filling the room with microscopic molecules that kill germs and are easily inhaled into the lungs. Videos on the detail pages show how easy the HEO models are to operate. Our family has the Whisper, but we don't move it around much so that works good for us. It's been very reliable and the controls allow us to conserve our use of the essential oils. They didn't make the PRO when we purchased the Whisper, or we probably would have gotten the Pro. I like that it's "all-in-one."

Click on the names of the diffusers to view the videos:

The Cool Mist diffusers that use water are typically used in spas, and some parents like them in a child's bedroom to diffuse nightly. These add a little moisture to the air. The essential oil molecules are carried into the air with the water; they float quickly to the floor as opposed to staying suspended in the air longer as with the nebulizing diffusers. I appreciate the suggestions for these models given, as I have very little experience with this type of diffuser.

I hope this helps! Blessings, Linda

This is the diffuser I have.  It is pricey, however it is the only one with a 1 year warranty. I really like it.

Hi Mandi,

It probably depends on your needs and etc... But my family has the Heritage Breeze Diffuser, and I have been happy with it so far. If you do, decide on that one, be sure to get a timer for it. I did not when we first got it and I regretted it. Later on we purchased a timer, and that has been worthwhile. The one draw back to the Heritage Breeze Diffuser is that it can sound loud to someone sensitive to sound. When I started using it regularly for a member of my household they found it too loud. I tried turning it on while they were asleep and that did the trick and in a short time they became used to it.

Hope this helps!
