Thanks to those of you who chimed in about my curtains.  The weather has been wonderful here and will stay for at least a day or 2.  I have had the windows open all day, and sometimes I think the smell is going away and others I can smell it strong.

I also am trying to get rid of a bleach smell in my bathroom.  I thought I had taken care of that one, but apparently not.  We had terrible mold, and while I'm thankful my parents got rid of it, I can now smell bleach.  I have scrubbed it at least 3 times w/ a vinegar solution as well as sprayed a couple times w/ straight vinegar and a couple times with purify essential oil.  This bathroom is attached to our bedroom that we smell the curtains in.  I have been diffusing the purify oil nonstop in there.  It masks it while it's on, but I can't seem to get rid of the smell.  My husband thinks I'm too sensitive to smells, and maybe I am.  :)

Thank you!
Mandi

Hi Mandi,
Just to let your DH know, there's a difference I don't like the smell of onions it's gross, and bleach and fragrances make me ill. Your body is reacting to the chemicals in the bleach/ fragrances. That's way different then oh I can smell a Gnat passing gas😂. People who aren't affected, seem to not relate it as a reaction just like a peanut allergy/ or gluten intolerance. Your body is fighting the offender, that makes for someone feeling very ill. My husband can't get over my " detector" when it comes to early mold detection, Oil leaks, antifreeze leaks, minimal and I feel and smell them. The offender gets that histamine going next you are feeling awful as those mast cells degranulate in your system. vit d levels may need to be upped, quercertin may help you also

For mold issues in the future, I highly recommend Mold Buster.  Hopewell has a "recipe" on the bottle that I followed to get rid of some very stubborn mold and mildew on my walls that neither bleach, vinegar, nor hydrogen peroxide could eradicate.
