Mollie asked: My son has a terrible sunburn. I put Lavender on it, but I only had 1/2 of a sample bottle. This helped, but it only lasted for a few applications. The burn is on his back. Any other oils you might suggest?

Linda's suggestions:
So sorry to hear this. These oils are noted to help with burns:
I'm sure there are others. Whatever you try (besides Lavender), try diluted and on a very small area first to be sure it will be helpful and not aggravating.

Carrier oils that might help:
Avocado
Coconut Oil (Virgin)
Sesame
We have a Carrier Oil Usage Chart that might help.

Aloe Vera is wonderfully soothing.

HEO's Sunburn Protection Spray was formulated based on testing various combinations of these oils on our family members and friends. We have had good results with the blend. It has helped us prevent burns (with re-application every couple hours), and it's been soothing and healing for those who have sunburn.
Tamanu oil (Calophyllum inophyllum), Sesame (Sesamum indicum), Emu and Avocado (Persea americana) oils with Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia) and Carrot Seed (Daucus carota) essential oils.

Testimonies:
1. Fantastic blend! At last a completely natural blend that works. Great job, Linda. - S.E.

2. I used your Sunburn Protection blend at my yard sale where I was in the sun all day long. I didn't burn at all. I'm so glad for a natural blend I can apply to my face and on my children without a worry at all! Thanks! - D.S.

3. I experimented with Sunburn Protection when we went to the lake. I only applied it to one arm. Within two hours, the unprotected arm was turning red and feeling burned. After another hour or so I decided to apply the Sunburn Protection. Later that evening, the only burn I had was on the unprotected shoulder. I kept applying the blend, and it definitely soothed the burn and helped it to heal very quickly. None of our children had burns at all. I'm sold and want to get this in the larger bottle! - L.S.

4. My baby has red hair and is very fair skinned, and we are very happy with how well this blend works for us. No worries; no burns! - R.A.

5. We have previously solely used the Sunburn Protection with our 18-month-old son (who has Down Syndrome) and we LOVE it. The HEO Sunburn Protection has a pleasant smell, has never seemed to irritate his skin and he has never sunburned. This past weekend I was out of HEO Sunburn Protection, so I used a name-brand SPF 70 sunscreen specifically for babies. It was horrible!!! We've used thi name-brand sunscreen 2 separate times. Both times resulted in severely red eyes and huge red circles under his eyes. His nose started running IMMEDIATELY, so much so that on both occasions he vomited up mucus. This was on two separate days. I will never stray away from using HEO Sunburn Protection again!!!! - Sarah
