Good morning,
My daughter has a duel health issue, Celiac and Crohn's disease. She has Remicade infusion every six weeks to keep the Crohn's under control and follows a gluten free diet for the celiac's. About two years ago she had a "traveling" sort of sinus and ear infection. It began with one ear, moved to the sinus on that side and then to the opposite ear and then to the sinus on that side. She did a long series of antibiotics, steroids and even antifungals to try and control not only the infection as it traveled to each area, but the continuing skin issue with her left ear. The skin on the outer ear is always red, inflammed, scabby at times, flaky and looks and is sore and constantly an issue for her. Her doctors have pretty much given up trying to heal the ear. They want to revert to the use of ongoing medications. I have had her use certain oils to try and heal the skin but it is a very persistent and we have not been able to resolve the problem. It is, of course, very noticeable and affects her in many ways. If any of you can offer solutions or ways to help her overcome this we would appreciate your feed back.

Check out the Ketogenic diet.
dietdoctor.com is a good starting place. My son who had frequent sinus infections went on this diet last November to gain physical performance and stamina. He has not been sick once since then. His buddies at the fire station recently had blood work done and the doctor was so impressed he's considering going on the diet. It's pretty revolutionary and effective.
There's a TED talk about it.

I have some questions. Does she have any other sort of symptoms like itching, crawling or stinging sensations? Any exposure to a tick bite? It would be good if you knew what the problem was. I'd like to have a more in-depth conversation, but I don't want to do it publicly. One thing I would highly recommend is looking into spooky2.com (frequency medicine) as a treatment option for both the Celiac and Crohn's. Spooky is the cheapest most powerful Rife machine on the market right now and I highly recommend it. Personally, I am not a fan of medical intervention and spooky puts the user in the drivers seat because the user can directly treat themselves in an non-invasive manner with great results. I use it for a host of problems. I read a powerful testimonial of a woman who cured herself of celiac and my best friend is having amazing results with his prostate problem. So if you want to look into it, you can get an inexpensive rig using the blue XM generators.

Good morning,

I suggest you try Calendula Gel on your daughter's ear. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have been on Remicade infusions along with Methotrexate and sterioids for years although a few months ago I switched over to Orencia. That's a whole other topic, but I wanted to give you some history. Last year, I woke up one day with pustules and red scaly sores all over my chin and check; the dermatologists said it was Perioral Dermatitis. Over time, I was prescribed antivirals, antifungals, and antibiotics none of which totally worked. I used a slew of essential oils with mixed success, but it was finally the Calendula Gel that completely HEALED my condition and quickly too. Please give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I don't know if you've talked with your Rheumatologist about your daughter possibly having Psoriatic Arthritis. The diagnosis would lineup with her other autoimmune conditions.

Best of luck

I’m so sorry to hear of your daughter’s struggle :-/

The Hopewell website has gathered information on Eczema  that may be helpful even if the rash may not be eczema.

I watched my granddaughter suffer with a similar issue! My daughter’s testimony is #1 on that detail page

1. My five-year-old daughter has suffered from severe eczema since she was a baby. She has it all over her body... arms, legs, back of the legs, behind the ears, back of the arms and in the creases of her arms. We have tried everything... steroid creams, eczema lotions, etc. We also have to be very careful because synthetic fragrances in lotions etc. aggravate her condition even more. Surprisingly, most eczema lotions have these added fragrances (not to mention the harmful chemicals). The itching will keep her up at night, and at times she bleeds from the scratching. I recently started using Hopewell Oil's DermaSoothe Spray. Within minutes of the first application we could already see an improvement. I applied it every night. Each day, it has gotten better. Within a week it has almost completely cleared up! The spray doesn't sting at all, and she enjoys putting it on... even on her worst spots. It is the best product we've EVER used, and we are so grateful to have found this blend! - Sarah T.
UPDATE: Since using the DermaSoothe Spray regularly for a few months, my daughter has not had any more red flamming eczema outbreaks. Now, a year later, she only has a few dry patches but hardly a sign of eczema.

She did have one "flare up" and it was pretty nasty. My daughter's feelings about it were that it was a withdrawal type reaction from all the creams and salves used previously. She felt to keep applying the Dermasoothe spray with hope that it would clear up. It did. : )

Emily (my granddaughter) just turned 10 and is still quite clear of the worst of it. She still has some occasional dry patches which I think are diet related.

I hope this is helpful and pray that the Lord bless all your efforts for your daughter!
