I am trying to help out my friend with her little girl that deals with serve stomach aches due to food allergies. Her little girl is 2 and has A LOT of food allergies, and if she gets the smallest amount it causes her to have serve stomach aches, kind of like her stomach turns rock hard. This is causing my friends little girl to cry for hours on end with no relief. My friends daughter is so SUPER sensitive to almost everything that touches her skin. My friend has tried Lavender and her little girl reacts. The only other essential oil she has tried (not related to the stomach issues or trying to calm her daughter) is Plague Defense ( for when she got sick), but her daughter reacted to that too. Her reactions are breaking out and then even causing her to cry non stop. She has defused the oils and has applied them to her daughter directly. Once she removed those oils (give at different times) her daughters reacts stop. I do not understand all of it and I just want to help my friend and her precious little girl out. There are many times that my friends daughter's stomach aches come at night and she will be awake for several hours just crying. Is there any oil or blend of oils that could help them out? She does see the the doctor, but they tie it to food allergies and give my friend no help in how to help her daughter out. I use essential oils for my family and kids and I know what a huge blessing they are and how truly helpful they are, so I was wondering if anyone can give advice and which oil or oil blend might help?

Thank you all for your time and input.

Additional thoughts to my previous reply on this thread:

Probiotics should be taken on an empty stomach at least one to one and a half hours before eating food. Synchronicity! Right after I sent my first reply I checked my email and there was this article on probiotics and gut flora health by Dr. Mercola, a recognized and respected physician in alternative healing practices. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/09/02/probiotics-allergies.aspx?e_cid=20130902Z1_DNL_art_1&utm_source=dnl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art1&utm_campaign=20130902Z1

Karen wrote: My granddaughter had many of the same symptoms ...pain, tears, protruding hard stomach at times, worse after mealtime...from age 2 to 3 years the pain increased and eventually she began to lose weight ...she looked like a victim of hunger in a 3rd world country. My daughter-in-law took her to a specialist who dismissed the case as non serious.

After several more months (and Google), my son and daughter-in-law took her off all wheat (as most is GMO)... Within days, we had a different child. They took her back to the doctor and insisted on blood tests... Back to the same specialist...test results were proven to show an extreme case of celiac.

During the pain and before the diet change, I would occasionally rub my granddaughter's tummy with Heritage Peppermint oil and this provided her great relief!

This diet change occurred this past April 2013. In 4 months she has gained @15 pounds and rarely cries at all. We are thankful.
