Leann asked: Has anybody used EO's on diabetic foot ulcers? My husband is in the VA hospital. He's a Type II Diabetic. The ortho department has done what they can do to treat the wound but are now bringing vascular in, in hopes that they can get more blood flow to the foot to enhance healing. I'm hoping to treat the wound itself. Will Frankincense help?

This isn't an "oil" answer, but might I strongly suggest that you take a look at Benfotiamine, which a certain type of B1. Of all the alternative things that I have done for many years, Benfotiamine is the #1 almost miracle supplement in my book for diabetes and other similar issues. I use it daily.

I do not have diabetes, but I clearly believe I was on my way to have it. I had such pain in my feet that walking was really hard at times. I thought it was something else, but now I believe it came from the fraying of those nerve endings due to glycation, which is prevalent in diabetics. I would suggest that you thoroughly read the Benfotiamine website. There are lots of testimonies there. If I had shingles, it's the first thing I would do as well.

I was really struggling with pain in my feet, and after about 1 hour of taking this stuff, my feet were so much better. Some people have to take like 1,000 mgs at first, but don't worry, start small and work up until you start getting some relief. I had to climb up, and then I could back down and just do a maintenance dose. Most would say give it a few weeks. Why I got relief in an hour, I don't know, but I know of nothing else like this form of B1. I keep a lot on hand.

Another thing, I was also having stabbing pain in my eyes, and I wondered . . . hmmm, could this be similar to my feet pain? Whala! I can't believe it. This also took that away. I must make this daily; my body needs this to keep the pain away.

You can order this at iHerb. I tend to use Life Extensions 250mg. [Save $10 on first order by using this code: HHZ794]

We also take some form of Chromium Picolinate, as it is very good at helping to regulate insulin. We definitely feel a lot warmer and sweat more when we are doing chores; it really kicks into gear.

Please read the testimonials page. There are wonderful stories, and no doubt all of us will know someone struggling with these issues. This little pill can bring such relief.

I pray, Oh Lord, that this would be your answer. Give it some time. I'm not sure how it will work to heal the ulcer, but I know a diabetic needs this.

Testimonies
1. My brother uses HEO’s Lavender for the diabetic sores on his legs with wonderful results.

2. Both of my husband’s parents use Lavender for their Type II Diabetes. Lavender doesn't interfere with their medication.

3. I am Type II Diabetic and use Lavender for burns and healing with great results. I had surgery a few months ago and used Helichrysum Blend, Frankincense and Lavender one my incisions for quick healing with minimal scaring. I’d read somewhere online that someone had two incisions. She applied the oils to one of them and not the other as an experiment. The incision where she used the oils healed dramatically faster than the one that didn't get the oils.
