Dana asked: My child is prone to cavities and has two now that need filling. We eat clean, and don't do sugar. Are there any essential oils that can reverse these cavities? She has extremely deep grooves in her molars.

Our Personal Protocol to Help Heal Cavities and Improve Oral Health

1) Use Tooth Suds (or tooth cleaners that don't have glycerine or flouride).

2) Add White Oak Bark to Tooth Suds or a tooth cleaner of choice. White Oak Bark can also be 'packed' on the cavity.

3) Drastically cut foods that contain phytic acid. Grains and beans are the major sources. Raw nuts should be avoided (they should be roasted or low-temperature dehydrated). These are some of the foods with the highest phytic acid content:

Sesame Seeds and Flour

Brazilnuts

Almonds

Tofu

Peanuts

Oats

Brown Rice

Chickpeas

4) Limit foods containing sugar, even natural sugars or starches. For the short term, emphasize mineral-rich vegetables, bone broths, meats and healthy fats. 

5) Eat a LOT of healthy fats. Be creative and try to get 1/4 cup virgin coconut oil in the diet each day, and used only organic, pastured, cultured butter. Take Green Pastures Fermented Butter Oil/Fermented Cod Liver Oil daily.

6) Increase Vitamin C intake, which significantly counteracts the negative effects of grain anti-nutrients.

Summary: No glycerine in tooth paste, avoid grains, beans or nuts and limit fruits and starches. Emphasize vegetables, protein, healthy fats and bone broth.
