Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your love and support of Hope for the Flowers! 

We've been wanting to send out a special message to welcome you all to this NEW Hope for the Flowers Google group and thank you for joining us here. Because this is a new thing for us, we are also interested in testing it out so we can see how it works. So, here's a test and special messages from Una and me in support of her effort to be funded to "do what she loves".  Wouldn't this be lovely for everyone? Hi folks,

No, this isn't me; this is my butterfly pal and personal assistant, Una, but I'm all behind her in this contest for $100,000 grant "to do what you love"! For anyone who thinks that butterflies are only pretty, they miss the important significance they have to tell us about both the beauty and the threats against the earth today. Una's work is worth encouraging. She is also active in other issues toward peace and justice in this world today.

The page on Facebook where this contest is going on, has this great picture of Una.  I've tried to bring it in here, but if I can't, it's another reason to join Facebook to see it and vote.

I asked Una to write something about this contest so I could send it to you – I think it's a great chance to help this wonderful friend who is giving so much to increase positive energy and hope in the world. It doesn't take much, especially if you're on Facebook already. If you're not, and even thinking about joining, this might be the moment. You can vote daily and every vote counts until the 15th of March. If this inspires you, ask your Facebook friends to also vote for Una. If you have twitter, send it out there too. It looks like numbers are what counts here.

Dear everyone,

I'm working on "the dream" project, please help me make this one a reality!- it's a contest sponsored by Docker's to win 100K to "do what you love". If you know me at all, you know that I love butterflies! I just celebrated my 7th anniversary of volunteering at the live butterfly exhibit in the NY Museum of Natural History on Valentine's Day. On my walk from Port Authority to the museum on 2/14/11, I found out about this contest.

I'd love your help to get enough votes to make it to the next round and have a chance to fund my butterfly dreams and to also share more details of what I would do with the money if I win. In this first round of voting each contestant is limited to 400 characters, so you can't say much.

Will you help me by voting for me? It only takes a few seconds :)

Step 1: you have to hit the LIKE button for Dockers on the voting page which is on the upper left side of my voting page.

Step 2: Click on the red button that says "Vote for this Plan" - this should make the number of votes change and generate a post to your facebook wall.

Step 3: Please hit Publish instead of skip, so this can go viral and help my chances for more votes- words of encouragement are also very appreciated at this step; the Facebook site gives you a chance to comment.
