New Year's Massacre in Alexandria

 

Our hearts bleed with sorrow and grief over the massacre of Copts as a reward for celebrating the New Year’s Eve in prayer in their church, the church of the Saints in Alexandria.  The ugliness of the event of killing and injuring adults and children worshippers on New Year’s Eve is beyond comprehension.  The church of the Saints has been anointed with the blood of her children, the 21 martyrs.  We are on our knees in prayer that the Lord may protect and defend His people in Egypt; the country which protected the child Jesus Himself from evil. We call on all the Copts to stop for a moment and pour their hearts in a deep and sincere prayer for our brethren in Egypt. We pray that the Lord may comfort the families that lost their loved ones and for the expedited and complete healing of the injured. We pray that He may look down upon the suffering and tribulation of His people in Egypt. We ask and entreat that He would defend and protect the Copts with the shadow of His wings.
