Soi brought "Hell" to myself when i tried to remove this ancient ralink driver when windows update and HP S.A didn't provide any update for bluetooth* , I downloaded it manually from here, i removed "Mediatek driver" from Program and Features, then uninstalled from Device manager till then everything was going okay. But when i tried to install downloaded driver it said this -
Then suddenly " I saw Bluetooth icon in taskbar" Everything i did was to remove bluetooth drivers and it was wiped out too but just the second i did whole process it appeared in taskbar showing bluetooth is on (while i have no access to bluetooth since it was frozen > "UNCLICKABLE") and in device manager, driver is back again with 2 microsoft bluetooth enumerator!
thanx, after performing system restore (chose 1 week older when i had not paired my bluetooth headset) it did good because when i opened bluetooth it was working fine but again when i tried to connect my bluetooth headset it paired but said "drive error" then next moment i switched off headset and switched on again my audio player didn't show audio renderer in list to connect with bluetooth headset like earlier while in bluetooth devices headset was paired up, i figured that it is because bluetooth is not working normal
And again when i turned off bluetooth after failure and went back to desktop screen it showed me bluetooth icon in taskbar just like before! I wanna know why bluetooth is opening itself even when i closed it ? and unfortunately when i went to PC & devices>bluetooth to close , it was frozen like before AGAIN!
Removing unwanted bluetooth icon is fine but the issue is that whenver i try to remove bluetooth driver , the next moment bluetooth icon appears with drivers in device manager ! I downloaded new bluetooth driver but i can't install it because old one stuck in my system !
I can't use my laptop bluetooth. I have my bluetooth options but cannot pair a new device, and either connect older paired devices. My bluetooth icon is visible, and I have checked the option "make me visible for other devices" (or something like that)
My drivers are up-to-date, I have changed settings in Windows Device Manager, unistalled and reinstalled the bluetooth drives, downloaded a new driver from the HP website. And guess what... NONE OF THAT WORKED!
I know I'm not the only one with this problem, and also know that my laptop has a built-in bluetooth hardware because before these bunch of windows actualizations, my bluetooth worked fine with no problems.
You can open and extract the cab to a folder with e.g. 7-zip and then update using Device Manager and browsing to that folder. Or alternatively you can install from the cab directly using these instructions:
I followed the steps of your first solution and now my bluetooth shows the new bluetooth devices around. THAT'S A BIG STEP. But when I click "connect" it's says: "we didn't get any response from the device". What should I do know?
Again, thanks for your awnsers and time.
Try deleting the Bluetooth device in question from the list and scroll down in the Bluetooth & other devices list and select More Bluetooth options and tick the Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC and try adding again.
Also where can i download the latest drivers for the RZ600 Series Wi-Fi 6E modules, because right now there are no driver downloads to be found anywhere when i search for the new products, nothing on AMDs or MediaTeks pages.
Reason why im asking is because is picked up a Gigabyte X570S AORUS Pro AX (rev 1.1) and it turns out that this MB has AMDs new RZ608 chip installed, ofcause there are some drivers up on Gigabytes page but i dont think they will be updating them all to often.
I have a AMD Asus X570 Wifi/Bluetooth motherboard but with Intel Wifi & Bluetooth installed. So I just run Intel's own driver updater to update both of my WiFi/Bluetooth drivers. I imagine MediaTek will be the same or something similar.
Im totaly aware that AMD offers driver for their X570 chips but like u said the RZ600 is a wifi/bluetooth modul and that a totally different story since there are no drivers for this on AMDs or MediaTeks pages.
The use of the partnership with MediaTek will likely allow AMD to partner its mobile processors with its own branded Wi-Fi 6E solution with OEM partners when it comes to designing devices. Intel leverages the fact that it has Intel CPU, Intel Wi-Fi, Intel Thunderbolt, and Intel Ethernet as a combined sales opportunity for OEMs making devices around an Intel product, so it appears that AMD is leveraging the same ecosystem gains, albeit with rebranded components.
There was an unconfirmed rumor going around the internet last year about a collaboration between MediaTek and AMD co-creating some custom wireless designs, with some reports suggesting that the collaboration will go beyond Wi-Fi. We're not sure to what extent AMD has had any input in the design of the MT7921K / RZ608, or how much that will continue going forward. At this point I'm confident that this sits as a rebrand just for now, given the lifecycle of product development in this area, as well as the Wi-Fi certification being in MediaTek's name."
For drivers you can check Windows Update Catalogue (type it in the search) and then type in RZ608 in to windows update catalogue page search and I think it will give you the driver 3.3.0.297/8 i think.
For European users. If you have a WiFi 6E router and this card, the drivers for the RZ608 do not yet open up the 6GHz band for Europe, so you will not see the 6GHz band (At the time of writing this reply)
Hi there I know this reply was old is there any news of a driver enabling the 6GHz band for Europe? I have the RZ608 in my gigabyte motherboard using the latest available driver from them, but cannot see the 6ghz band at all. I am in the UK
Just bought a new AX210 and bluetooth is not working at all. I have tried installing new drivers but nothing is working, for some odd reason it works perfectly fine on linux.
Bluetooth driver in Device manager:
I have tried all of that already, part of the reason I bought the card was that bluetooth wasn't working on the stock wireless card and assumed it was some sort of software issue with it but, neither that or the ax210 work on windows for me but work fine on linux.
2. If you open the SSU report attached to your post and search for "bluetooth", you will see the following comment: "The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded". You may try to run Windows Bluetooth Troubleshooter.
1. Yes both are connected, I have tried to switch them and the wifi was still working, I do see how this would be a problem however... Like I said Bluetooth works perfectly when I boot on linux.
2. I have tried to run Windows Troubleshooter.
Have you installed both the Chipset Device Software and Management Engine driver packages provided by your motherboard manufacturer? [Hint: seeing devices resolve in Device Manager is not good enough; you *must* install these packages!]
Did you install the Intel Bluetooth driver package? [Hint: Do not rely on the drivers installed by Windows. They don't work reliably with the Intel silicon and can cause issues with the Wireless part of the card.]
I have been working on the investigation, I want to let you know that an installation or use of Intel Wireless Adapters is subject to country-specific legal regulations. Some countries require the Intel Wireless Adapters to be certified with the antenna that is intended to be used together in the system, while some countries require the Intel Wireless Adapter to be certified at the full system level.
Intel Wireless Adapter installed in a system that is being sold on the market doesn't necessarily mean that same wireless adapter can be used or installed in any other systems for the above mentioned reason.
As each country may have different regulatory requirements, before you install/change the Intel Wireless Adapter in a system, you must contact the system manufacturer to determine if the Intel Wireless Adapters you plan to install is approved for use in your system and country. You are required to follow the manufacturer's post-approval requirements.
As I said, I bought the wireless adpator because the one that came with the laptop was doing the same thing: Wifi working fine, Bluetooth only working on Linux not on windows. I don't see why only the bluetooth doesn't work on windows on both.
One of the reasons why you should contact the laptop manufacturer for support is because Intel is a supplier of laptop components and does not manufacture or sell complete laptop systems. Your system manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the software or hardware packaging they provide, so please contact Lenovo further assistance.

I have a laptop running Windows 7. Recently bluetooth has been failing and I'm struggling to find out why.It could be the drivers so I'd like to update them, I believe the wifi/bluetooth chip is Intel.
The Intel site offers a couple of tools that scan the system and report back on the make and model number - but as far as I can tell all they do is check what driver is already installed, not the actual hardware.
In that case you can always search the internet with your laptop model number to find out what exactly is in there, or perhaps download the drivers from your laptop maker support webpage, perhaps old but most likely working drivers and this might help you get the model number recognized.
