We were the first ones through in about 6 inches of fresh fluff, so everywhere that was not snowmobile trail was beautiful.  The snowmobile trail was beautiful too, but tougher to navigate with xc skis because of heavy use.  It was squalling nearby when we left, so maybe some fresh today, and sounds like a lot more snow on the way!  

 

We parked at Harriman Station, shuttled to the Dam and started around 2.   We missed that first left, despite the sign notifying us that we were no longer on the CT.  We only saw that on our way back to the trail!  Skied to MA border and back to car before 5, with sunset colors in the west over the river.  Novel to be able to ski a whole section so late in the day!"
