Just another Sisyphean day at Dutch Hill, climbing up just to slide back down again. Not much new snow (39" top, 26" bottom, about 1" more than Sunday) but the wind did a nice job of smoothing out the skied up parts of the upper hill. At 1pm we got first tracks on Christiana.
On our way home on the Zoar Road we saw ski tracks coming out from the power line that drops down to the road, near Bear Swamp.

Usually I would confess the tracks were mine in that area, but this time not mine.  I've been skiing closer to home---in Hawley where the snow is surprisingly deep!
Tad Blackmore told me that he once started to ski that power line and the entire field went....whoop.  30 degree plus, just saying.  I'd hate to have the distinction of first avalanche fatality in MA....ever.
