Hi all, we're considering a rugged XC trip in to Stratton and Bourne Ponds tomorrow. GNAR shows reasonable depth for it but we'd like to know if the surface is icy or something more grippable at present. Some wintry mix expected in the next 24... We've got the day off and would like to give it a go if it's reasonably doable. Prospect Mt only man-made skiing open. Any other insights are most welcome!

Wish I could give you some advice. Down my way there is nothing in the woods. The fields are patchy and icy where there's been traffic. There's this: "Woodford SnoBusters Trail Report, January 10, 2026: The high temps and rain did quite a number on the trails, a lot of dirt and water bars. We have to hold steady and hope for a turnaround. Think snow!"

Thanks, as much as we want to get out, we're gonna hold steady and stay home. Better days are comin'.
