Anyone have experience with this in the recent past? Is it just skis or do they have boots too?

I'm heading there today. I'll check on the available inventory and let you all know.

Thanks. I texted Erik Fey and he says they are renting still. I’m interested in 172 and 28.5. Flying east in a couple of days and wouldn’t mind skipping the extra baggage

It clean slipped my mind. I tried calling the number they give on the website but they aren't picking up. Guess asking in person would have been better. The website does list their Telemark rental package at the same price as the demo equipment: $75/day. The website is probably trustworthy. They are still touting their Telemark rental fleet. It does say "book in person." Probably limited amount of pieces to their inventory in that department. Says the same for their demo fleet.

TelemarkDown rents tele boots & skis at nearly half that price.

Is that in New Boston, NH or Putnam, CT or both? That may, or may not, be convenient for someone in W. Mass. But thanks for the info.

I've been to Erik's shop in New Boston. It is a bit off of the beaten path but if one were going up to VT not too much more so than going to BE to rent

Definitely a good spot to visit if one is in that neighborhood. Nothing like it really anywhere in the East. With Freeheel Life shut down as a brick and mortar location, perhaps nothing like it except Bishop in CO perhaps? Places like that are hidden gems, in my opinion, much like the out of the mainstream cycle shops like Analog in Poultney, VT

So now I did remember to talk to the rental dept. Even though it was a random employee and not the manager he seemed pretty confident with his info. In person booking is requested (not required, but given how hard it is to get them to pick up the phone probably the only logical approach). He said not to worry about being able to get what you needed though. Very little Tele gear regularly goes out and they have three pairs of every size boot. Did seem probable that you can just show up and find something that fits. The inventory consists of SummitCone skis, Crispi boots, and 22D NTN bindings.
