Hello everyone, ( are you still out there?? )

The Town of Hooksett will have its town deliberative session / town meeting on Saturday February 2nd at Cawley School cafeteria at 9am.
It is the chance for all citizens to review the proposed operating budget for the next fiscal year, and the warrant articles for other requested funding of ongoing projects.
There are several big warrant articles that will probably have considerable discussion, with much background information to be presented to the attending citizens.
Sewer installation on the west side, Roundabout at Hackett Hill intersection, Old Town Hall renovation funding, hiring a Full-time Recreaction Director again, Fire Ladder Truck, and three town employee union / non-union contracts.
Citizens who attend can listen to explanations and presentations of the budget items, and are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback opinions to each warrant article, including the operating budget.
You also have the opportunity to suggest any related changes, but that do not change the intent or spirit of the warrant article.
All warrant articles will still be advanced to the ballot, but with your input.
A booklet guide will be provided to everyone with all budget information to review at the meeting, and to then bring home for closer review.
The booklet should also normally be available at Town Hall prior to the meeting for your review before the meeting.
I will be moderating the meeting, and will conduct a mutually fair and inclusive deliberative discussion, allowing everyone to speak who have opinions and comments, with only a few meeting rules to follow that will functionally move the meeting along.
The meeting will last as long as the citizens want it to last... but it typically lasts about 3-4 hours.
Hope to see everyone at the meeting -- this is your chance to learn what's happening for funding taxes in Hooksett for the next fiscal year, as most you often say on this page that you want to know.
  Regards, mm

The booklet is not yet available.  The town is still working on printing it up.
It will be available at Town Hall in hard copy when it becomes available, and will have copies at the deliberative session itself.
It will probably be available on the town website as well, when ready, but I'm not certain of that.

The attached Hooksett town website link is to review the Town Voter's guide for this Saturday's 2/2 deliberative session.
The Voter's guide has all the information for the warrant articles to be discussed, and to subsequently be placed onto the March 12th ballot.
Hard copies of the pamphlet will also be available at town hall, as well as at the deliberative session at Cawley that morning.

How much would taxes go up by if everything passed?

Hey Ginger,

Is this what you were looking for? from page 7 of the PDF

If all warrant articles were to pass the estimated tax rate impact would be $6.52/thousand for an increase of $.72/thousand over the current rate.
At $6.52/thousand the tax bill on a property evaluated at $250,000 would be approximately $1,630/year.

Please remember this DOES NOT INCLUDE the school district budget and warrant articles potential impact on the tax rate which would be approximately $18/thousand if all warrant articles were to pass

Yes, thank you.
So the town side would push my tax rate up by 72 cents per thousand? Ok.
