connection failed:Invalid payload for json - basic chat app failing in ie 8

i am using latest hookbox from here: https://github.com/hookbox/hookbox version ad280e86891cf3416e1db1716e6de3d613aee209

i have a very basic chat app: http://pastie.org/3391555

it works great in every browser [firefox, chrome,chromium, opera] except Internet Explorer 8.

The error message I get is this:

connection failed:Invalid payload for json

Can you please tell me how to fix this?

Hi Kevin,

The issue you encountered is because JSON.stringify in IE8 has a bug

Can you check if commit 1bb121773a11d2f2419e460d7c128948abc170ed [1]
fixes your issue?
Will put them to the hookbox repository once its ok.
