That subject line's what one of my friends told me while we were talking about how wisconsinites are desperate to go sunbathing!!

Bascom Hill and Vilas park are "ordinary" examples, but I've come across more distinctly noteworthy ones. The people living at the apartment on the other side of the street from mine go sunbathing in their bikinis on the patch of grass between the Curb and the Sidewalk. And a friend once mentioned to me about people chillaxing out on the grass on the divider on Kendall avenue !! All distinctly Badgerish I suppose !!

Anyways, the point of this email: A friend and I were walking down fish hatchery road towards fitchburg couple of days ago. Somehow the whole sunbathing thing came up in our discussion and she and I thought up that it would be awesome to have a massive scale sunbathing event on the divider on fish hatchery road, or maybe even better, on park street !!

We could probably set off a tradition, The Bikini Sunday of Madison Summers !! Would really be awesome if we can hype it up and get some national media coverage too ;)

Any takers? Anyone thinks it's a worthwhile idea? I'm just floating this out to the group, and hoping that someone who knows their way around organizing events of scale can pick up on this and see it through !!
