This is going to be a real judgment call, since there is Webidence in
both directions, but in describing the ornamentation to a piece of
silver jewelry, do you suppose 淡水真珠パープル is best rendered as
"freshwater pearl bauble" or "freshwater pearl bubble"?

Although I can't show you the photo, the critter in question is hung
from a stickpin by a tiny chain, and its elongated shape makes it look
a lot more like a bauble than a bubble to me. But hey, what do I know
about stickpins.

Er, um, neither. I think パープル is the color "purple."

I think that some of these freshwater pearls are more on the purple side
than white. See:
