Russian online dictionaries?

Hi,

http://icecube.berkeley.edu/~dima/stuff/rus/

the dictionary linked above has proven its worth, but one dictionary is
never enough - can anybody recommend other Russian online dictionaries or
glossaries of good quality?

www.multitran.ru is the Russian equivalent of www.alc.co.jp.

It's the only site I use for all of my Russian translation and

interptretation needs apart from Google. There is simply nothing

better out there at the moment.

I just wanted to mention that Multitran is not for the novice. It's got a
lot of garbage and you have to be able to screen for errors. But translators
can enter their own lucky finds and that's why I love it.

Yes, I agree completely, Irina, that one has to carefully separate the wheat from the chaff in Multitran. I think that sometimes it may be very useful when looking for a hard-to-find technical term. However, recently I did a project that involved a lot of bureaucratese and business terminology, and Multitran proved to be very misleading. Incidentally, there is another source you might want to consider, namely, the UN Multilingual Terminology Database:
