Dear All,

I have run into a Japanese proverb (?), or, more precisely, an Italian rendition (or imitation) of a Japanese proverb.

In English, it would be something similar to "The voice of the fields is silent but its sound continues to come out of the fruit" (by DeepL, to connect to the other threads).

The frutti/fruit part is, I think, 実.

Do you know what might have been the original Japanese (if there is any)?

Thank you,
Balazs Oroszlany

Could it mean that the voices of once thriving fields, decimated after harvest, will still be spread out in other places, or be carried on by the fruits that once grew there?
