WordFast yakkers--

I'm currently giving the WordFast demo a test spin on my main work
computer, a MacBook using MS Office 2004.

I'm looking for someway to temporarily disable WordFast without
actually uninstalling it. WordFast hijacks the Option-Down Arrow for
selecting the next segment. That's fine when I'm working on a
translation, but now I'm writing an article and Option-Down Arrow is
ingrained in my muscle memory as "go to the next end-of-paragraph
marker." Needless to say, WordFast's ideas about what I intend to do
have gotten mighty old mighty fast.

Nothing leaps out at me right away in the WordFast knowledgebase or
in the manual; could be I'm just not searching for the right
terminology. The only option in any of the setup screens that comes
close is Uninstall WordFast--bit of overkill there. Does anybody
know of some way to turn WordFast off without uninstalling it?

How about disabling the macro?

Tools >Templates and Addon > remove wordfast.dot

In other words, uninstall it. I was hoping to avoid that.

Ah, well.

Ah, wait, I was looking at the Menu entry just above that, for Macros
themselves. Yes, you're right, this ought to do the trick.

Giving it a spin--will report further only if it goes awry.

Thanks.

Move the wordfast.dot macro from the Startup directory to another
directory such as Templates.
You can then add it whenever you like.

私が使っているのはTradosでしかもWindowsという完全に畑違いなのですが。

このマクロのキー割り当てを変更する、というのはいかがでしょうか?

Certainly. That said, Alfred's solution did exactly what I wanted it
to do, so I'm all set here. Thanks anyway!

Cheers,
