Doing a crash course on the Japanese criminal justice system.
I am a bit reticent to translate 刑務官 as prison officer for the officers escorting the accused.
What if the accused has come from a remand center? Should it be a remand officer?

Hi,

How about using “corrections officer,” a term that is common in the US?
