留型品

I'm doing a 品質規格証明書 for a chemical product, which is a
filled-out form. One of the blanks to be filled out is labeled 当該納
入品 and has two choices for the person filling in the form: 一般
品 and 留型品.

Under these choices there is: （留型品の場合、一般品の相違
点を説明して下さい。又一般品名も記入して下さ
い。）

Clearly 留型品 is some sort of special item, but I can't come up
with the proper English term.

I find:

特殊な留型品（限定的商流品で現行コード類の未発番品）

which makes me think of a product that has not been "fully" commercialized.
If this were automobiles, I would think of a "concept car", built to look
interesting and try out ideas but not in production.
I can't think of exactly the right term for this just now.

Clearly 留型 is an unusual term since Google gives only 10 hits, but among
them I find a definition here:

Although this reference defines the term for kimono patterns, perhaps the
same meaning is intended in your case. Apparently it means products produced
for one specific reseller or retail outlet. I think these are called
"exclusives" or such in English.

It seems to me that "special order" might work here.
