Hi all,

I wanted to post again and see if anyone is interested in a JA>EN project going on until the end of the month. TransPerfect Translations has a huge job going on currently, and we could really use more resources!

This is a high-volume project, with files available immediately until March 29th. The files are a mix of general, financial, and technical materials.

If you have any questions or are interested, please feel free to contact me at sa...@transperfect.com or at ja-en_l...@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please include an updated copy of your CV and your JA>EN rate per word.

We really hope to hear back soon. Thanks so much!

Cheers,
Sara

Can I has $0.07 per word?

But seriously, if more resources are necessary and the supply is limited, it only makes sense that a more attractive rate is required.
I'll have some time at the beginning of April if $0.20 per word can be mustered up, as well as a fee of USD 50 per hour for formatting.

Sara,
I will think about your offer. Perhaps I will get back to your management in Chicago in November.
Meanwhile, please consider that maybe you could attract more resources if your company would refrain from blacklisting translators for no logical reason and also refrain from contracting for projects at rates too low for translators to make a living.
