What You’ll Do

As a language Manager you will serve as primary linguistic auditor and consultant for the Lilt team for a wide range of target language content types. Refine testing and vetting criteria for target language linguists for multiple content types and clients. Validation and Review of sampled translations for linguistic quality control. Report quality status and trends to Production. Continual quality improvements across a variety of client needs. Collaborate with Quality Management to: Execute quality review and audit Devise actionable plans based on individual quality trends for your target language. Consult on linguistic asset templates and processes at Lilt. Produce internal and external quality reports to include RCA and CAPARun, QA checks prior to delivery (client- specific). Attend and exhibit language management expertise during client/Lilt training sessions

Qualifications

• Native speaker of Japanese
• Post secondary education completion in Japanese
• Work experience in Japanese and preferable in-country
• Proficient in English at a professional level
• 3+ years experience as a Japanese translator
• 2+ year experience as a team lead, language specialist, language manager or other senior linguist role, ideally having worked internally at a LSP
• Proficient reviewer and editor
• Strong customer engagement skill set
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and join customer calls across time zones
• Diplomatic and team player
• Familiarity with linguistic quality auditing methodology
• Familiarity with CAT tools and TMS system
• Hands on experience in creating/managing/maintaining language assets
• Experiences in working with remote team (external and internal) in different communication channels
