I am not a regular user of Outlook (I use Outlook Express).

A client sent me some email messages in Outlook format (not Outlook
Express). I opened them up in Outlook 2003 (Japanese version). The first
file I was somehow able to convert the mail headers automatically from
Japanese to English, and save the document as Word, thereby making the
translation process much more easy.

But I can't seem to figure out how to do it again. The first time was so
seamless that I didn't replicate my steps.

Does anyone know how to do this.

Actually on Outlook Express here as well I no longer seem to be able to
figure out how to convert the headers to show in English (i.e., "From" for
差出人 "Sent" for 送信日時 etc.,)

So I have two problems.

1. To display the headers in English and
2. To save in word (Outlook will let me save into text but not into Word.
Nevertheless I was able to do this just a little while ago and seemingly
seamlessly. I can't know and wonder if anyone has a solution).

Several years ago I used "ABC Amber Outlook Converter" to extract my emails to a more usable format. I don't know how it handled Japanese.

ABC Amber Outlook Converter is intended to help you keep your important emails, newsletters, other important messages organized in one file. It is a useful tool that converts your emails from MS Outlook to any document format (PDF, DOC, HTML, CHM, RTF, HLP, TXT, DBF, CSV, XML, MDB, etc.) easily and quickly.

It costs $20.00. It has a demo version that lets you convert 10 emails at a time to see it if works for you.
