Hello,
I received the email reprinted below (below hash marks) from my
father, he heads up the creative department at Brown Industries, a
carpet display manufacturing company out of Dalton, GA. He asked me
to take on a conference call in which I would have explained a
contract to a new member at Lonseal, one of Brown Industries'
clients. Unfortunately I am swamped with other work, and do not
really have experience in marketing anyway. (Although this would
probably not be difficult for any experienced translator, people with
experience in 1. marketing and 2. contracts are preferred).

If you are interested in this job, please contact David Laufer at
david....@brownind.com and/or Donna Garcia at
donna....@brownind.com ASAP -- they are looking to move on this
quickly.

They sent me a 12 page PDF file which I have not reattached, but the
below email reprinted from Brown industries should be sufficient to
see if you would like to take a look at the contract and discuss
rates, etc.

Thank you,

Vincent Laufer

-------------------------

I am sending the Lonseal proposal. Here are the basics: Lonseal is a
Japanese manufacturer of flooring. <www.lonseal.com> They make very
good quality material and are well respected. They have a west coast
sales office which recently had a shake-up; the top guy and his
marketing director were let go, or agreed to retire, or something like
that. We, Brown Industries, have a west coast account executive who is
very charming and insightful, Ms. Donna Garcia. She and I had
negotiated a research and marketing project which they approved. That
is what is attached. We started the research and were part way through
the initial stage when the marketing director, who had signed our
contract, left.

The new manager of the office is Masaki Inoue. He is a manager, not a
marketing person. He speaks little or no English. He has a female
interpreter who is late thirties and is not a marketing person. They
have said they will honor the contract but want to put it on hold
until they hire a new marketing director. But this may be a month or
two.

Donna and I both feel we would like to let them know we want to help
them achieve their objectives. We think that if we take the step of
having you involved, to explain the contract, answer their questions,
and to give them a brief report on the findings to date, they will see
the value.

We would like to be paid for our work to date, if indeed they are
going to table it. So, please look over the proposal, I can answer
your questions about it.

Our thought is for you to call me tomorrow and I will then conference
in Donna, you can talk with her and we can set up a time for the
conference call later in the week. Having you call tomorrow will help
us test the three way system which I don’t want to test the first time
with the client on the phone.

On second thought, please only reply to David Laufer, not to Donna
Garcia.

Thank you,

Vincent Laufer
