◆straighten up one's back while walking　歩行中背中をしゃきっとさせる［背筋を伸ばす］

しかし、「背筋を伸ばす」には、物理的な姿勢だけで無く、一人の人間としての方針(attitude, stance, policy)を正す意味も含まれているような印象です。
