I've been contacted by Laura Seldman, who is curating a set of
photographs bequeathed to a local library by a Japanese photographer,
Itsuzo Sumy, who settled in the US about 100 years ago. For a planned
exhibition, they are seeking assistance with translating the captions
on some albums of his. It's all hand-written Japanese.
Some samples can be found on her site at
https://lauraseldman.zenfolio.com/p13665212#h1a73b56f
I said I'd ask around. If anyone can help, or suggest possible
approaches, please contact her directly (there's a contact form on her
WWW site, or reply to me and I'll pass on her email address.)
Cheers
Jim
