Please come along to the launch of Solomon Islands’ latest book –
TALEMAOT: SOLOMON STORIES OF PEACE AND CONFLICT – at the NATIONAL
AUDITORIUM (behind Museum, Pt Cruz) TUESDAY DECEMBER 17 5.00pm.

TALEMAOT is a collection of creative writing on the topical issues
facing the country today by Solomon Islands writers and includes
poems, short stories and short film scripts. TALEMAOT includes stories
about everything from politics to disasters, family disputes to
enduring friendships and humour to tragedy.

The book features creative writing by Chelcia Gomese, Regina Lepping,
Georgianna Lepping, Fred Percy Maedola, Anthony Maelasi, Julian
Maka’a, Christina Mitini, Jasmine Navala-Waleafea and Vinnie D. Nomae.

Come along and be the first to read the stories that will make you
laugh, cry, think and dream about the state of Solomon Islands today.
The launch will feature readings from the book and a chance for you to
purchase a copy for just $100 SBD.

Anouk,

After our meeting yesterday, there was an urgent call from home (mom) for me to race there to see her. Due this circumstance, I have booked myself to travel home on Monday, a day before the launch. I am deeply sorry to miss the program and therefore hereby send my sincere apology for not being able to participate. You can read my poem!
