Dear All,

Please meet Alex Scott, who is part of the team conducting the DonBosco video training course at  which Fr Ambrose sent through earlier. He's a film editor by trade.

He'd like to get the students tapped into this group, so I suggested that (depending how the course goes), the students could screen their short videos that they produce as part of the Don Bosco training at a Film-makers meeting in early July.

Do people think this is a good idea or not? I won't actually be in Honiara at the time but if others are interested, perhaps it could be arranged?

Hope all are well.

Regards,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Good to chat earlier, and hear some more practical details of exactly how this group functions!

My current thinking is as follows: The last day of the course is on the 28th June.

The following Tuesday is the 2nd of July. I will still be in town on that date. (I leave on the 4th)

Obviously it's too early for me to say which students will be significantly happy with their finished work to want to show it... but...

How about I commit to coming down and showing what I've got on that tuesday, meeting you guys and having a chat etc - with every hope and expectation that I can bring a couple of students (and their work) with me. Hopefully it will be more about them than me, but at least if attendance from them is low - I could be like a consolation prize! :)

What do you think?

Alex

Dear Jeremy,
Thanks so very much.
We commence the course on 17th June at 8.30am, with a variety of
participants - all eager to share their ideas and impressions via the
moving image.
The Course concludes on the 28th June with a final pesentation at 2pm
at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Henderson.
Shall be delighted if different persons can encourage these budding
filmakers.
Blessings.
