Voting for the 2014 Individual Directors of the OpenStack Foundation is now open and will remain open until Friday, January 17th, 2014 at 11:00am CST/1700 UTC (See When The Polls Close In Your Local Time). Before voting, you can review a list of the candidates along with any additional information that they have provided on our website: http://www.openstack.org/election/2014-individual-director-election/CandidateList/
Each candidate answered a mandatory set of questions. You can review their answers to help make an informed decision by clicking on their names.
The election uses a cumulative voting method that allows you to allocate votes across multiple candidates. You have eight votes that you may divide in whole numbers across up to 8 candidates as you wish. For example, you could allocate 5 votes to one candidate and 3 votes to another, divide up all 8 votes among 8 different candidates, or some other combination. This allows you to apply some weighting to your choices.
As a reminder, under the Community Code of Conduct (http://www.openstack.org/legal/community-code-of-conduct/), Members are expected to "Respect the election process. Members should not attempt to manipulate election results. Open debate is welcome, but vote trading, ballot stuffing and other forms of abuse are not acceptable." We ask that you give every candidate on the ballot careful consideration, and not base your vote solely on the fact that a particular candidate works for your employer.
