Greetings 2009 Honeywell Teachers for the 21st Century!
My name is Greg Bartus and I will be the workshop leader for this
coming July 6-10. I look forward to meeting all of you on the morning
of July 6th.
This Google Group has been created to facilitate collaboration during
and after the summer workshop. You may be asked to create a password
to login to this group. Please create a simple and easy to remember
password (no private information is being saved in this group; only
your email address) and save it somewhere so that you will have access
to it when you attend the workshop in July. This Google Group has
been set to 'Private" so you will need to use this email address to
login as well. If you would like to use another email address for
this group please let me know. If you have trouble setting up your
access to this group either email or call me before July 6th or we can
set you up upon arrival on July 6th.
Some time has passed since your acceptance letter was sent to you. If
you need another set of directions and/or a campus map, please let me
know. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU TAKE PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION. THE DRIVING DIRECTIONS YOU RECEIVED LEAD YOU TO THE
HOWE CENTER WHERE YOU MUST OBTAIN A PARKING PERMIT AND DIRECTIONS TO
THE APPROPRIATE LOT. PLEASE ALLOW AN EXTRA 15 MINUTES FOR THIS
PROCESS.
As a reminder, activities will start at 9:00 am sharp in the Babbio
Building, Room 104. A continental breakfast will be available at 8:30
am. If your circumstances have changed and you are no longer able to
attend, please let us know right away as we have a rather large
waiting list.

Hi there Greg. My name is Amanda Viggiano, and I teach middle school
science in MIddletown. I am from Toms River, and this is my 4th year
teaching. Middletown, however, is new to me. I just began working
there this past year. Prior to Middletown, I worked in Lakewood, where
the technology resources are scarce...very scarce. I went from having
nothing to having almost everything, so it is a bit overwhelming. I am
getting used to having the "goodies" to engage the students more. This
workshop interested me because I am FAR from a technology guru, and I
thought this would get me on the right path to where I want to be!

My name is Kelly Lake. I teach 7th Grade Life Science and 8th Grade
Earth Science in Bayonne. I have one computer in my classroom and one
smartboard for the school to use. Excited to learn how to integrate
more tech.
