About DDS format

Thumbnail preview of DDS files of BC6-BC7 is not supported.

Hope the next version can be improved.

To solve the issue you have reported in this discussion, we need a sample file in the format which is not supported by Honeyview. Please send the unsupported sample file to dev....@bandisoft.com or let us know where we can find and download the file.

And please provide more details about the "thumbnail preview." Which preview is the one you are mentioning?

I have fixed some problems and you can download it here.

(You have to reboot your system if you cannot preview image files with explorer shell menu. )

I downloaded and installed the test version.

And cleaned the thumbnail cache of the system, and then reopened the folder to view the DDS, but I still couldn't preview the thumbnail for DDS of BC7.

The image can only be viewed by opening the file.

The DDS of BC6 can be opened and viewed now.But cannot view the thumbnails,too.

Honeyview does not support previewing for DDS. 

Honeyview's thumbnail previewing in explorer is only supported for the following formats; WebP, PSD, and PSB.

If you can see the thumbnail of the DDS, you might have installed third-party software.

In my case, Paint.net(MS store edition) works well with the files.

NO~It can preview the DDS of BC1-BC5.

Just can't preview the DDS of BC6-BC7~

I am pretty sure of this.

You can look.I only installed this one viewing software.
