Our next General-Membership Meeting

Our next General-Membership Meeting will be on Saturday, November 7th from 2:00 to 3:30pm in Mandeville, and you're invited.  In fact, if you're interested at all in cycling, you won't want to miss it!

Our own Eric Nye, a certified cycling instructor, will present a short talk and video on how to ride a bicycle safely in traffic followed by a demonstration of basic bicycle maintenance. He will finish by answering questions about individual and group riding safety.  We're working on expanding the program, and we'll send you info as that happens.

The meeting will be at the Causeway Branch of the St Tammany Parish Library at 3457 Hwy 190, Mandeville, LA  in the K-Mart shopping center.  Our main web site is louisiana.sierraclub.org/honeyisland, and it has directions.  We'll try to update it with details.

This meeting will kick off a series of events over the next several months focusing on the same theme.  The Group will actively participate in a bike ride over the St Tammany Trace on Sunday, November 15th, and look for Bike-to-Work Days and other stuff in the spring.
