Join the Sierra Club and the
Alliance for Affordable Energy the Evening of March 1st to Discuss the
Future of Clean Energy
in Louisiana.
On March 10, 2010, the Louisiana Public Service
Commission will vote to adopt a Renewable Portfolio Standard for the
state of Louisiana.
We need your help to get this Portfolio
passed.
What's a Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS)?
An RPS is a
regulation that requires the utility companies in the state to use a
certain percentage of their fuel source from renewable resources.
Adopting an RPS has the potential to create jobs and stimulate the
economy, while at the same time reducing our dependence on dirty fossil
fuels and reducing pollution across the state.
Join us Monday,
March 1st to discuss how you can make a difference in Louisiana
and encourage your Public Service Commissioner to vote YES to a mandatory
Renewable Portfolio Standard.
