Thank you for the additional details and for sharing the sample file information.

Honeycam uses Windows Media Foundation provided by Windows to decode video files.
The 0xbadc0016 (0xc00d5212) error occurs when Media Foundation does not have a compatible HEVC decoder available on the system.

We noticed that the sample you sent (P:\01.mp4) is an HEVC 8-bit file, and the same error occurs with this file as well. 

This suggests that HEVC files are generally not opening on your system, which is consistent with a missing or unavailable decoder.

As a workaround for now, you can convert the file to a more widely supported codec such as H.264 using a video conversion tool.
Honeycam should be able to open the converted file without requiring any additional codec.

We are also considering providing a separate solution for this issue in a future update, possibly by using an external library, although we do not have a timeline to share at this time.
