This issue has a big focus on the situation in Honduras and names
the names of U.S. trained soldiers who are in charge of the
ongoing repression campaign against the social movements. It also
includes an article about the courageous resistance of the Lenca
people of Rio Blanco (more info on the content of the Spring 2014
issue below).
We are sending the 10,000 extra copies out at cost (printing and
shipping) in boxes of either 75 or 150 copies to everyone who is
willing and able to get them distributed. We have to educate a lot
more people to grow the movement and to stop US military and
police training and aid for the repressive Honduran security
forces.
Thanks for all you do!

Dear Supporter,
The Spring 2014 issue of Presente, the newspaper of the
movement to close the SOA, is going to print in
February. We need your help to distribute
the paper far and wide! Please order
a box with 75 copies for $19, or a box
with 150 copies for $27 (the money covers the cost
of printing and shipping within the United States).

Your work to expand
the reach of Presente is growing the movement.
The union-printed, bilingual Spring 2014 issue of
¡Presente! is covering the following issues:
- Repression and Resistance in Honduras
- Peoples Movements Assemblies, SOA Watch and the
United States Social Forum
- SOA Graduates in the News
- Youth Encuentro in Latin America
- Updates from Colombia
- Report from the elections in El Salvador (SOA Watch
activists are on the ground to monitor the elections,
which are taking place on Sunday, February 1, 2014.
There is a lot of at stake. Salvador Sánchez Cerén,
former guerrilla Commander and current Vice-President,
has a strong lead in the polls but the US and El
Salvadoran right wing are trying to return the
presidency to El Salvador's right-wing.)
- Grassroots organizing and direct action
- ...and more
Spread
the word about the School of the Americas and
about the reality of U.S. foreign policy.
As a grassroots movement without the backing of big
foundations, the work of SOA Watch is being largely
carried out and financed by volunteer activists and
organizers across the Americas.
Click here to order your box of Presente now!
in solidarity,
María Luisa Rosal
