1978 Hondamatic 400-A stuck in 1and 2 gear cannot get into 1 or 2

I have a 1978 Hondamatic 400-A engine runs in neutral, and when I shift to 1st.it stalls out. The indicating light shows 1 and 2 gear seams to locked in together causing the stall out.

Check the linkage first, then look at the shift actuator switch. Sounds like linkage issue but my old 1980 cm400a had a bad shift switch actuator. Was a bitch to find a good used one but the are out there.
