Does anyone have an idea why there are so many used Tone Master Pros on sale at Guitar Center. Is something up or are there many folks who buy, but then aren’t impressed with sound? Just curious.

I just put a set of these on my 335 that I received in my Premier Guitar "Holiday Box of Sad."
I'm not sure if this is real or just perception, but they seem play in tune and intoneate better than my normal strings (various Ernie Ball Slinky sets, and D'Addario XL's in various gauges).

In response to a few threads that's been up lately I thought I'd just go through a few points where boutique excell over mass production. I am in no way a winder myself, although I do have a bit of insight on the matter.

I am a hack as a musician. I played in rock bands for years. I have excellent time and feel. I'm proficient at getting the essence right on rock covers and remembering where to put my fingers.
