Filling in for a buddies tribute band this summer. The lead guitarist in the real band plays a 355 and I play a Collings LCV. The band seems to be fine with it because it's a similar shape. The rhythm guitarist doesn't care but thinks the audience might. What say you hive mind?

So, in order to replicate the true tones of the non digital guitar of the 60’s -80’s , leave digital out of your chain…
Simple and pure..The minute you add a single digital to analog conversion, you done screwed up everything..It is not the real thing, at all.

| What side of the stage are you on? |

My natural inclination has been to be on stage left, but I’ve been stage right for 15 years. Still feels weird to me. Bass and other guitar on the other side of the stage. Once in a while we have steel guitar and or keys and they go on my side.

| What are some hot and thick sounding (true) single coils? |

The other day I tried Monty's Full Monty single coil in a guitar, and it sounded very good. Very thick and "full" sounding, while still sounding like a single coil with lots of chime.
