GENERAL ENTRY RULES & AGREEMENT
Submission of an entry constitutes an agreement to comply with all the rules of HAC & this prospectus. Accepted artwork must remain in the exhibit for the duration of the show. Members will be required to work at the Gallery a minimum of one 3 hour shift per week. All entrants expected to attend awards reception on June 20, 2009 in the Studio 100 Gallery.
LIABILITY
All reasonable care will be given to artwork in the exhibit; however Homestead Art Club and Prime Outlets are not responsible for any loss or damage.
ENTRY FEE
HAC Member - $25 Non Member - $40
Non-refundable entry fee
Limit of 3 pieces of work can be presented for entry. In juried shows there is the possibility that some work will not be hung. The member committee will be responsible for hanging of the show.
SALES
HAC now makes sales using major credit cards. All checks will be made to HAC. Sales tax will be collected and paid by HAC. A 12% commission on work sold during the exhibit will be retained. Payment for works sold will be made by July 31, 2009
SHOW JUDGE/S- To be announced SHOW JURORS - Entries will be juried by member committee.
HANGING WORK - Framed artwork to be hung must have wire for hanging or be gallery wrapped. No Sawtooths - No Unfinished Edges. Plexiglas preferred. PIECES NOT SUITABLY PRESENTED WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THE EXHIBIT.
SCULPTURE/and/or 3D work
Artist must provide their own display.
DECORATIVE ARTS
Artists may provide own display. A limited amount of space is available in a "jewelry" display case.
All artwork must be original work of the artist submitting the entry. The artwork should recognize the important contributions by women to the fabric of America.

Winners can exhibit their work as part of the 2009 GroveHouse Artists Spring Art Exhibit to be held in the Richmond Cottage at the Deering Estate at Cutler from May 15th to June 13th

March 2009 Demos at Local Art Guilds .
The Hollywood Art Guild will be showcasing a prominent local artist, TERESA KIRK, a signature Member of the Florida Watercolor Society as well as Past President of FWS during 2008, doing a demo, WATERCOLOR EN PLEIN AIR demonstration incorporating pour techniques, for their Thursday, march 12, 2009 meeting at 7 PM. Teresa's work can be seen on the FWS website at www.floridawatercolor.org. Teresa is going to be conducting a Pouring Your Paint workshop in April at the Hollywood Art Guild. Come to this meeting/demo in March and see if her future workshop would enhance your own work. Allied Arts of North Miami will be presenting the artist ELEANOR CLARK, a Signature Member of Florida Watercolor Society, doing a CRITIQUE for their meeting/demo on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 4 PM. Eleanor encourages attendees to bring with them paintings with problems unresolved in order for her to offer suggestions. The Pembroke Pines Art Guild will host the well-known and well-traveled local artist, COLE WOLFORD, for their meeting/demo on Tuesday March 10, 2009 Cole was the 2008 President of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society. His demo will address TRAVEL AND PAINT with all the details you will need to record your excursions with successful paintings. The meeting will take place at 6:30 PM at the Pembroke Pines Recreation Center located at 7402 Pines Boulevard. The Plantation Art Guild has not scheduled a demo artist for Monday, March 2, 2009. Instead, that evening they will have their general meeting and a RECEPTION for their PLANTATION ART GUILD OPEN SHOW at 7 PM in the Deicke Auditorium at 5701 Cypress Road, Plantation. There will be awards presented, and refreshments as well as a Silent Auction of artwork and artistic items. The OPEN SHOW will be up from February 20, '09 through April 6, '09 at the Deicke Auditorium. The Gold Coast Watercolor Society will be presenting an award-winning artist in watercolor and Chinese
Painting, both nationwide and abroad, LIAN ZHEN, at their March 16, 2009 meeting/demo at 7 PM. Lian
Will be here in Fort Lauderdale conducting a 5-day workshop for GCWS from March 16, '09 through
March 20, '09. His work captures the drama and beauty of light and the spontaneous and detail styles of
Chinese watercolor. The Gold Coast Watercolor Society meetings take place in the auditorium at ArtServe,
located at1350 East Sunrise Boulevard. Fort Laud., FL. It is inside the Fort Lauderdale Library building.

The Weston Art Guild will be presenting WILLIAM BOCK who will be demonstrating METALLIC LEAF APPLICATION. Willem owns and operates The Art and Frame Shop in Davie, FL and does Art Restoration and Conservation on the premises. Read about his extensive art background and training at www.finea...@earthlink.net The guild meets the last Monday of every month at Rick Case Hyundai (upstairs), 3440 Weston Road and South Post Road in Westin FL. This month their meeting will take place on Monday, March 30, '09 at 7 PM.
The Miami Watercolor Society will be presenting ELIZABETH KINCAID, originally from Seattle, who paints vibrant watercolors that DANCE WITH LIGHT. Her compositions are full of luscious color and have a glow that only transparent watercolor can produce. Elizabeth, in town to conduct a MWS workshop from March 13 to March 15 '09 will demo for their Sunday, March 8, 2009 meeting. Elizabeth's work can be seen on her website www.elizabethkincaid.com. Dear Artist:
I am coordinating Art for Awareness, to raise money for breast cancer research. The last two years' events were so successful, we're doing it again. We would like artists to create artwork that will be exhibited at the event, then auctioned off to benefit breast cancer research. The artwork must incorporate bras, women, pink, ribbons, etc. The event will be held in the summer of 2009.
I would like to invite you to participate in the event. Exhibited art should incorporate bras, women, pink, ribbons, etc. Refer to the artist agreement for display restrictions. Art for Awareness Artist Agreement
1. All artwork becomes the property of the Art for Awareness with no payment or receipt.
2. Art will be exhibited to the Public at the Art for Awareness event in the summer of 2009. Art must be judged appropriate by event coordinator to be exhibited.
3. Artwork will be sold to the highest bidder by auction at the event. Art not sold may be donated to a worthy cause as determined by the event coordinator.
Art Guidelines
1. Artwork may be two- or three-dimensional. Works must incorporate a bra/bras in some way. They may also incorporate ribbons, women, pink, or some representation of breast cancer. Any transportable medium may be used.
*Pieces may not exceed 36x36 inches.
2. 3-d art must be able to stand unassisted.
3. A photo of the artwork must be submitted and received by May 15, 2009 (by email or hard copy). Approved artwork is to be delivered to the event in the summer of 2009 (exact date to be announced) by the appointed time (TBA).
4. Along with the photo- name, address, title of artwork, dimensions, and medium must be submitted.
5. Optional: Please submit, also, your inspiration for the piece, and any comments or bio you would like to accompany your artwork at the exhibit and/or auction.
This agreement must be signed and returned along with the photo of the artwork by
May 15, 2009. Artists under the age of 18 must also have a parent signature.
