Unable to Play Channels from Remote

I just purchased a Matricom G-Box Q anc connected it to my older HD Hiomerun Dual over a wired network and although all seventy of my over the air channels wer scanned and I can watch them by selecting the play symbol with the mouse I cannot with the remote making this application. I know thousands of these boxes were sold. How do you flip channels with the remote?
